India is growing fast and people are expecting it to be a Leading Global Economy leaving Japan and USA far behind.
Now the point here is, what a common man would achieve as 70% of indian population is still living in villeges, far away from today's major developed metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata etc of other major to-be-metros like Ahmedabad, Pune, Indore, Lucknow etc.
What development is taking place there and whatever development is there, who is responsible there. Normal Standards of a developed town and cities are some basic infrastructural facilities like - 4-5, primary schools; 4-5 high secondry schools; 2-3 degree colleges for boys and girls and prefereble 1-2 postgraduate college.
On other fronts having a post office; well equipped hospital; banks; proper police and law and order situations.
Apart from these there should be enough employment generation activities so that people of that area can earn thier livelyhood there only.
It is unfortunate that despite promotion of public-private sector joint efforts nothing much is happening in rural India. Even if something is happening there in the name of development that is under scruitiny of frauds, scams, unethical practices by small of big time operators.
There are bussiness firms like peerless and sahara who are supporting national cause of micro finance in hinterlands. they have a robust and proven model for over 25 years as they are working there. BUT at the same time many small players imitated their working and duped crores of money from small time investors through fraudulent money deposit schemes and vanished from the seen.
here RBI and government should come forward to safegaurd small investors.
Big Industrialists are fighting for SEZs, why can they go in rural areas and ask government to provide resources there. Probably big bussinessmen dont want to travel byond 30-40 kms away from big metros in thier airconditioned cars to such places.
these people should come forward and make india smile.
