In India cricket is making news every day and people are mad about it. At the same time people are complaining for excess patronage given to cricket over other sports by media, government, corporates and even general public.
I see it from different angle if cricket is today's most popular game in india it is because of its players' all round consistent performance, a structured and regular infrastructure to develop talent even from smaller cities and definatly the TOP GOVERNING BODY i.e. BCCI.
This back end infrastructure is the key for todays sucess for cricket.
for other games like hockey, football, chess etc India lacks a dedicated governing body who is interested in promoting game, here people are more interested and busy in affairs other than related to games. Hockey has its share of prominance and popularity untill 1980 when they won moscow olympic gold. but after that not only the game deteriorated the governing body also become aloof and paid less attention to make game popular in schools and creating and maintaing infrastructure for the game.
Even today hockey has sponsorships from Sahara. Hockey players are on rolls of PSU giants like ONGC, IOC, Indian Airlines etc.
Here governing bodies of other games need to think and act more towards popularising these games.

Ram Setu and We the Bussiness Class
It is great to know that all business houses have strong corporate responsibility programs. These corporate claim that we take initiatives to help the unpreviledged and they claim they help in programes aimed at national development be it health, wealth, education, employment etc.
The recent outcry on Adam's bridge or better known now a days as "Ram Setu" is also an interesting observation on corporate sensibility and business acumen.
Every business house, who is using water transport from eartern coast to wester cost understands the monetary benefits of passage through "RAM Setu". As this passage would reduce time and money involved in transporting goods from eastern coast to western coast. BUT they are afraid to show their views in public fearing public outcry.
I urge Big Corporate Houses like Sahara, Reliance, TATA and BIRLA etc should come forward and educate the masses on the positive and negative aspects related to Adam's bridge / Ram Setu.

Slums In India ........ Is anybody Interested?
Slums In India ........ Is anybody Interested?
India is witnesing unprecedented growth in realestate. Prices for house property are rising everywhere, be it a metro or small towns, average price hike in last 3-5 years have been 5-10 times hike in prices.
A 100sq yards plot bought 4-5 years back for Rs 5-6 lacs can easily fetch you 20-25lacs today even in non metros.
This phenominal growth has created scarcity for land in city limits that can be used for residential development.
Now, here i want to draw attention towards common problem of every city, i.e. OLD established slums and new developing slum areas. All these localities are single story settelements. These areas are also known for breeding grounds for anti social elements. These localities have severe law and order problems.
Poor health, education, income levels are other features of these slums. Our Dharavi Slum in Mumbai is probably Aisa's or may be world's largest slum.
Normally people see them as a problem areas and try to keep themselves away from them. I see a big opportunity for corporates and government bodies to develope these slums and change the conotation of Slums just by doing some development work.
Builders can come forwar to take that land and build multy story buiddingd with better ventilations, roads, water and power supply.
Builders like Sahara, DLF, UNitech and Ansals can look into this. the extra land created by shifting single story unit into multistory can be used by these builder to make shopping and entertainment complexes.
Other corporates like Reliance, Sony, Tata, Videocon etc can come forward to open retail stores in these newly developed shopping complexes.
Government can earn sales and entertainment taxes from these shopping complexes and increase its annual tax collection.
By doing this government bodies can identify each dwelling unit and charge various taxes like water, power, house tax etc and increase their revenue.
Law and order situation would increase as each unit and its occupants are identified and each unit is approachable.
So these slums can be converted into buzzing areas of development if someone can take initiative.

customer care or "I care for my company Policies First"
Customer is the King.
We care for our customers like no other.
Customer is always right.
These are some of the jargons used in board rooms of big corporate houses. Big marketing and sales guy promises to follow customer needs and satisfaction.
But, the BIG REALTY is customer is made to follow strict company policies for no fault of his. Often it happens that sales person of credit card companies; insurance companies, mobile or telephone selling agents promise moon to the customer at the time of selling product/ services. but when there is problem to the customer company often give excuses like call to call center, the agent gave wrong or misleading information, contact to city office etc etc.
Call centers are the new tool to harrase customers. my observations have been that only 2 out of 10 callers get satisfied. most of the time we shall let you know or sorry this is company policy we can not help is the ready answer with these call center executives.
i want all the leading business house like Reliance, TATA, Sahara India, Bharti etc who are having call centers to help their customer, they should check their process once again so that customer is not left unsatisfied.

Student Policites
UP government has placed a ban on students election, how good this could be ? it has to be examined.
probably government is trying to keep polictics away from students or students shall be away from politics.
Motive must be good, keep students away from petty polictics and young people from India specially from educated class should come forward and people from shady image should be kept away from politics. people or leaders engaged in scams, frauds, murders, rape etc should be given life sentence and barred from politics.

Politicts In India
India is heading for its another general polls. A huge exercide to decide fate of today's emerging India for next 5 years.
Who should rule this honest, progressive, open minded people of corrupt, anti national elements engaged in frauds and scams.
Who is to decide ?
We the AAM JUNTA or somebody on our behalf ? probably we are too shy to go to the polling booths or we have accepted to be ruled by unwanted elements of the society.
who should appeal to indian masses to take wise decision while casting votes ?
The political party
polictical candidate
persons with good social life and carear records.
TV channles like Sahara, IBN, INDIA TV etc.
or todays's so called MOVERS and SHAKERS of today's society who live in posh and costly houses scattered accross Indian Metros or the new residential destinations like dlf, oMAXE, Sahara City Homes, Hiranandanis etc.
We need to take a call on our POLITICAL CULTURE.

Housing Property Mirage
A small home. these few words are enough to convey many emotions and labour put in by a person to create a mall world of his/her.
MY HOME, this dream starts from searching for a nice plot / land on which one can build his dream home of a readymade solution inform of a flat in some prime residential area.
I myself had many fears when i started search for a residential plot. The major threats were fraud by the agent or the property dealer or even false information or the policy of the builder itself.
Now a days, these cheatings, frauds, false promises are very common practices and they are daily reported by some newspaper or other medium. It is very difficult to chek legalities of the transaction done earlier of a property as well.
I am totaly lossed, whome o belive government bodies whose delivery promises often get delayed or the nasty network of clerks of these departments who make multiple files of one property and sell them to as many buyers.
Or I should believe other leading builders like dlf, sahara, omaxe, parswanath, eldeco etc who have reputed name in this industry. but still many schemes and comprisions offered by them again leave a consumer in confusion as to which one to chose from.
whatever the case may be, finding a SWEET Home is still a mirage. I feel there should some consumer forums wherein people can share thier experience and give guidance to people seeking help in finding/ making a home.

60 years of independence In indian villages
We are celebrating 60 years of independence but indian villagers are still fighting for basic facilities like education, health, banking, telephone etc. ITC's echaupal, sahara's parabanking and housing projects and reliance tele network revolutions are few potent initiatives, that are working there, but what other corporates are doing. All the corporate has corporate social responsibilities and they should discharge that properly

Micro Finance In India
India is growing fast and people are expecting it to be a Leading Global Economy leaving Japan and USA far behind.
Now the point here is, what a common man would achieve as 70% of indian population is still living in villeges, far away from today's major developed metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata etc of other major to-be-metros like Ahmedabad, Pune, Indore, Lucknow etc.
What development is taking place there and whatever development is there, who is responsible there. Normal Standards of a developed town and cities are some basic infrastructural facilities like - 4-5, primary schools; 4-5 high secondry schools; 2-3 degree colleges for boys and girls and prefereble 1-2 postgraduate college.
On other fronts having a post office; well equipped hospital; banks; proper police and law and order situations.
Apart from these there should be enough employment generation activities so that people of that area can earn thier livelyhood there only.
It is unfortunate that despite promotion of public-private sector joint efforts nothing much is happening in rural India. Even if something is happening there in the name of development that is under scruitiny of frauds, scams, unethical practices by small of big time operators.
There are bussiness firms like peerless and sahara who are supporting national cause of micro finance in hinterlands. they have a robust and proven model for over 25 years as they are working there. BUT at the same time many small players imitated their working and duped crores of money from small time investors through fraudulent money deposit schemes and vanished from the seen.
here RBI and government should come forward to safegaurd small investors.
Big Industrialists are fighting for SEZs, why can they go in rural areas and ask government to provide resources there. Probably big bussinessmen dont want to travel byond 30-40 kms away from big metros in thier airconditioned cars to such places.
these people should come forward and make india smile.

Sahara Housing
Many of my acquaintances have been residing at Sahara’s project Sahara States in Lucknow for the past many years and are quite satisfied and happy to be there. I have been to the site of Sahara City Homes in Lucknow with one of them who has also purchased a house there and seen the meticulous way with which they are about with the constructions. It seemed to be a mammoth project the grandeur of which can only be imagined. Obviously such a large project takes years to get just the umpteens of relevant clearances from the govt. agencies lethargic as they are in doing their work. At least Sahara is not risking the purchasers / investors hard earned money by starting the City Homes projects immaturely before obtaining all permissions like most other so called renowned and top of the order builders are doing. These unscrupulous and callous builders have given the entire building and construction industry a bad name and obviously Sahara is also being judged by the same scale. Their having obtained EIA clearances for many of their projects whereas all their so called competitors have not obtained even one but are still looking for ways to bypass this public interest rule framed by the govt. speaks well of their intentions.I really admire the tenacity with which they have withstood all kinds of criticism regarding their intentions and motives and have already started three of these colossal projects.Keep it up.
Sahara City Homes
Sahara City Homes is a Mega Project of 217 hi-tech state-of-the-art townships, to be developed in two phases. Sahara has once again pioneered the concept of self-dependent townships (100-300 acres) spead over 217 locations. And is a revolution in the real estate industry, being spear-headed by Sahara India Pariwar on a war-footing. It is not just any housing project, but an excellent opportunity to acquire a DREAM LIFESTYLE.
Sahara Ganj in Lucknow and Amby Valley in Pune, Sahara Grace in Gurgaon are living examples of the quality that Sahara is going to offer to its investors and prospective buyers.
So, Sahara is not only going to provide a Dream Lifestyle but help in build the Nation to be at par with other developed Countries.
Hats off to SAHARA!!

Responsibilities of a Housing Company
Responsibilities of a Housing Company.
every day i see thousnd ads in paper tv or elesewhere every body is building malls, buildings, townships, colonies. Property value ranges from 15 lacs to crores. and the major builders are Tata, birla, reliance, sahara, dlf etc.
I am happy that there are huge projects to improve life style of people in towns and cities.
But what will happen to people whose land is being taken though one can say builder or government is giving value for the land taken.
generally these builders take agricultural land from these farmers or villegers and pay compensation for the land. These poorly literate people get carried away from sudden money and loose it easily and since there is no employment left with them they face hardships of life.
Government and builders should come forward with employment generation options. And these companies should also come forward to see that these people are not getting cheated by money lenders; they are not the victim of false promise for their money requirements in absence of employment.
Government housing boards and various development authorities alog with All big companies like Omex, Unitech, parasnath, sahara, dlf etc should think of this.

Advertising and Social Responsibility of Major Business Houses
Today Morning my cable connection was having some fault and i resorted to the only channel that was available - "Doordarshan's National Channel".
During a short break 2 ads were shown and that shook up my concious. I wondered that how oblivious are us to some important aspects of our daily life and our disdainful approach is helping problem grow steadily.
The two ads i want to mention here were -
1. One person lying in a hospital bed and asking for cure and pleading to the "White Coat" on the wall for getting cured. The Caption that struck me was " don't have blind faith on "White Coat" for treatement check the "medical practitioner's Certifacte".
This ad was promoted under on going campaign of "JAGO GRAHAK JAGO".
2. In another ad - one person was asking for help but that person refused saying why should he help, at the same time the daughter of that person gets in to trouble and the person earlier asking for the help rescues the girl. Now the person who refused to help earlier acknowledges his mistake and promises to help those in trouble.
The punch line of the ad was "we dont know the natural calamities nor we have control on that, but we can always help the persons in trouble"
This ad was sponsored by government body making awarenes on "Disaster Management".
I know these are govt sponsored campaigns, but what responsibility are we having if we are not seeing that ads on leading news and entertainment channel.
Here I want to appeal all leading TV channels like Sony, Star, Zee, Sahara, IBN, NDTV, MTV etc who have all the time to air commercial ads but the above ads who are there to help community grow, become aware of their rights are not taking respnsibility of showing these ads.
They should air these ads free on their networks or they can charge nominaly for these campaingns.
I dont understand why these channels resort more to cover cases of fraud, rape, scams etc and another cheap issues to raise thier TRP but they are silent on national development issue.
Channels should not always show negative issues they should also look for positive ways wherein they can use thier strenght and help nation.
I feel these channels - Sony, Star, Zee, Sahara, IBN, NDTV, MTV etc telecaste Pulse POLIO campaign for their START VALUE as normally we these ads wherein some of the leading cine or sports star is doing the ad.
Probably these big channels are waiting for govrnment ruling for cinema halls wherein cinema hall owners are bound to show one of two govenment made documentaries on social / national developments.
I urge these channels - Sony, Star, Zee, Sahara, IBN, NDTV, MTV etc to come forward and take responsibility of national development and help government to educate masses.

Fair or fraud who should be the winner
We all want to win. Nobody wants to loose. Its Natural.
Winning is a natural desire. We all want to win, why one should loose. This is fine, winning gives name, fame and money but why should we resort to unfair practices like cheating others or we decide to fraud other for small interest of ours.
In bussiness sector, where competition is cut throat, case of frauds, forgery, miscommunication, false promises etc are very common.
I appreaciate indian companies like bajaj, hero, dabur, sahara, reliance, tata, bharti etc who have adopted fair business ethics to grow and set examples for others.

Transparancy or Secracy in Business Success
There are overnight achievers in various business sectors. What are the guru mantras ? what is the strategy ?
Everyday we hear about some overnight achiever in business. These achievers come very fast on the public view and take lesser time in going out of public memory.
The point here is how and these people get success remains unknow untill there is some news about their wrong doings, unethical practices, some misrepresentations or false committments.
there are very few bussinessmen who came into light and become part of the public attention for their good acts. We must congratulate these big Companies like TATA, Reliance, Sahara, Birla and Bharti for showing other businessmen to how to grow big with good business practices.
They have proved that people can grow without using fraudulent practices or committing fraud in their business practices.
I would appeal all business entities to shed all negative practices like frauds in what so manner - consumer schemes, customer handling. product development, after sale service, false promise, short services etc.
