CORPORATES IN INDIA
I guess today's indian corporates are more aware and responsible for Mother India and by looking at their initiatives of Corporate Social Responsibility, they have been contributing a lot recently.
I feel that company that's truly indian in spirit is Sahara for it is actually working for the nation. Not only has it adopted many welfare programmes but also given a boost to sports. I salute its dedication to Bharat Mata.
Lots of companies are working towards the upliftment of society in general and have been contributing in whatsoever manner they can. Be it ICICI providing loan, af course with a cost, for infrastructure building, housings, or TATA, Bharti trying to connect every individual thr their mobile of land line and so on and so forth but factuall no one had done without any commercial aspects associated with it, you may call it a charity. The company that crosses my mind is Sahara India who's two activities, which i can term as philanthropic act, the financial support to the families of Kargil Martyrs and the resettlement and redevelopment of bhuj earthquake victims are minus commercial earnings and is really commendable and appreciating gesture towards the society and an act of genuin social responsibility.
